Proposed temporary restricted area (TRA) will encompass all Class G airspace, from surface to the bottom of the controlled airspace (SFC - BCTA) within 3.5 nautical miles (n mile) of Sydney Olympic Park for a 25-minute period at approximately 0730Z (17:30 local) on 12 April 2025.
To ensure safety of flight during a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Roulettes aerobatic display, a proposed TRA will encompass all Class G airspace (SFC - BCTA) within 3.5 n mile of Sydney Olympic Park for a 25-minute period. It is expected to occur at 07:30Z on 12 April 2025 - exact timing will be confirmed via Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
The TRA will encroach on D539A, R405A, Choppers North (CNTH) and Concord Hospital helipad (YXCC).
Feedback is sought regarding the proposal of establishing a TRA over Sydney Olympic Park on 12 April 2025, which is to ensure safety of flight during a RAAF Roulettes aerobatic display.
To ensure safety of flight during a RAAF Roulettes aerobatic display a proposed TRA will encompass all Class G airspace (SFC - BCTA) within 3.5 n mile of Sydney Olympic Park.
The TRA will encroach on D539A, R405A, Choppers North (CNTH) and Concord Hospital helipad (YXCC).
Vertical operations into controlled area (CTA) up to A070 may also affect Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (YSSY) and Sydney Bankstown Airport (YSBK) and surrounding traffic flows for up to 15 minutes.
Emergency services requiring operational use of the airspace will be given priority.
