Temporary Restricted Airspace 'RIGBY' activation due to non-flying military activity

    Live firing activity being conducted on the Puckapunyal Training Area. Temporary Restricted Airspace (TRA) covered by R350 with upper limit of 23,000 feet (FL230) will be activated from 0830-1200 local time from 26 November 2024 - 11 June 2025.

    The issue

    Defence training requirements at Puckapunyal Training Area have necessitated the creation of a permanent restricted area that allows for the extension of the vertical limits from FL200 to FL230. This restricted area, ‘R350C’, will be declared on 12 June 2025 to coincide with the 2506 AIRAC amendment cycle.

    In order to cater for activities that require the 'R350C' airspace volume prior to its declaration, TRA 'RIGBY' has been declared. 

    Purpose

    • Temporary restricted area 'RIGBY' activated (RA2) due to military non-flying activity.
    • Lateral limits: 370130S 1444930E - 365240S 1444930E - 365000S 1445600E - 365230S 1445600E - 365235S 1450345E - 365500S 1450530E - 370130S 1445900E - 370130S 1444930E
