The proposed Temporary Danger Area (TDA) will be in place for the duration of the Canungra Spandicup paragliding competition, in Class G airspace.
The organiser of the Canungra Spandicup paragliding competition, with support from the Canungra Hang Gliding Club and the Sports Aviation Federation of Australia (SAFA), will be running the competition from 28 September 2024 to 6 October 2024. To support this, SAFA is applying for the establishment of a TDA in Class G airspace over the main area of competition operations for the duration of the competition. A maximum of 80 paraglider aircraft will be competing, flying daily tasks from 9 am to 5 pm AEST.
This consultation is to seek feedback on the proposed establishment of a TDA in support of the Canungra Spandicup paragliding competition. The Canungra Spandicup 2024 is a World Air Sports Federation (FAI) sanctioned, paragliding cross-country racing competition.
