Proposed amendment of Tower hours for Sunshine Coast Airport

Airservices Australia would like to seek feedback regarding a proposed change to tower hours at Sunshine Coast Airport.

The issue

Airservices Australia is proposing to temporarily amend to tower hours at Sunshine Coast Airport, in response to an increase in traffic operating at or in the vicinity of the aerodrome during the 30-minute period prior to the current tower opening time.

Purpose

This amendment is being proposed to mitigate any potential airspace safety risk due to increased traffic, by expanding the provision of aerodrome and approach control services provided by the tower at Sunshine Coast Airport to cover this 30-minute period.
