Professional Helicopter Services are proposing to establish two Temporary Restricted Areas (TRAs) in the vicinity of the Phillip Island Racetrack.

    The issue

As in previous years, a TRA is proposed to be established around the Phillip Island Moto GP Racing Track between the 18 to20 October 2024 due to increased helicopter activity associated with the event (TRA-MOTOGP). The dimensions of TRA-MOTOGP are unchanged from previous years. In addition, a larger TRA is proposed for two RAAF flying displays to be conducted on 19 and 20 October (TRA-DISPLAY).

    Purpose

To provide notification of upcoming Moto GP event at Phillip Island and raise awareness of the increased activity in the area.

    The following TRAs are proposed:

    TRA-MOTOGP
    Lateral Limits: 2 n mile radius of 383010S 1451355E
Vertical Limits: Surface (SFC) – 5000 feet above mean sea level (AMSL)
Proposed hours of activity: 8 am to 6 pm local time on the following dates (check NOTAMs):
    18 October 2024
    19 October 2024
    20 October 2024
    Controlling Authority: Professional Helicopter Services

    TRA-DISPLAY
