Gilmour Space Technologies is expecting to launch its inaugural TestFlight1 mission from the Bowen Orbital Spaceport in north Queensland.

    Purpose

Launch preparation and tests will continue to be conducted on the launch pad (centre coordinates 19.9581°S148.1136°E) of the spaceport and will introduce risks of failure modes that could create blast overpressure effects and a debris field.

Ongoing tests of the orbital launch vehicle will require temporary restricted and dangers areas, to ensure safety of flight for all airspace users, that:

    • extend horizontally in a 2 nautical mile radius about the point: 19.9581°S 148.1136°E
    • extend vertically from surface to 5,000 feet above mean sea level (AMSL).

Consult relevant Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) for activation timings. Further information on the proposed temporary restricted and dangers areas is available via the Gilmour Space website and other publications.
