    To seek members’ feedback on the proposed Temporary Restricted Areas (TRA) ‘Shark’, ‘Crab’ and ‘Lizard’ in the vicinity of Cowley Beach to support ADF Amphibious Exercise SEA EXPLORER 2022 (SE22).

    The issue

    • Requirement for military medium-sized UAS (Scheibel S-100 Camcopter) to be conducted in Restricted Airspace IVO Cowley Beach Training Area (CBTA)
    • Activation of temporary restricted areas (TRA): TRA-Shark, TRA-Crab, TRA-Lizard
    • Proximity of TRAs to YIFL aerodrome, local parachuting areas, and north-south coastal scenic route adjacent to Cowley Beach
    • Proximity of TRA-Crab and TRA-Lizard to YIFL NDB, RNAV and GNSS approaches.
